Location: Must be located within a commutable distance of the hirify.global New Hampshire office once established; additional location in San Jose, California, United States.

Salary: $169,000–$244,700 USD per year for New Hampshire; actual compensation varies by location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

  • Define system architectures for SatCom, ISR, and space payload applications using FPGA technologies.
  • Translate customer mission requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions.
  • Design and optimize DSP pipelines for modulation, demodulation, channelization, encryption, and image or sensor processing.
  • Drive FPGA-based acceleration for real-time and edge processing in space environments.
  • Support integration across RF front ends, digital processing, and high-speed interconnects.
  • Lead technical activities across design, verification, deployment, reference architectures, and customer-facing technical collateral.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in satellite communications, ISR systems, or space payload design.
  • Strong digital signal processing background and hands-on FPGA design experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and RTL development.
  • Experience with communication standards such as DVB-S2/S2X, CCSDS, and LDPC, plus high-speed interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD204.
  • Experience designing systems for constrained power, thermal, and radiation environments.
  • Must be eligible for required U.S. export authorizations and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with onboard satellite payload processing or software-defined payloads.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, link budgets, waveform design, radiation-tolerant design, and space qualification requirements.
  • Experience with AI/ML acceleration in ISR or space-based analytics.
  • Familiarity with hirify.global FPGA architecture and toolchain.
