Principal Signal and Power Integrity Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, United States. Authorized to work in the US and able to start immediately.

Salary: $203,000–$230,000 USD base salary annually for the Principal level. A Senior Principal range of $237,500–$250,000 USD may apply depending on experience and interview outcome.

What you will do

• Plan, design, model, simulate, and validate signal and power integrity across multiple system configurations.
• Support complex SoC and silicon products for server and networking applications.
• Define hardware system constraints and high-speed technology roadmaps.
• Perform electromagnetic modeling of BGA and connector structures and simulate high-speed SERDES channels and equalization.
• Lead debugging, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action efforts with cross-functional electrical design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience supporting or developing complex SoC or silicon products for server and networking applications.
• 8+ years of hands-on high-speed signal integrity and power integrity design, simulation, and measurement experience.
• Experience with PCIe Gen5/6 and/or 224/448G Ethernet PCB and interconnect signal and power integrity challenges.
• Experience with 2D/3D EM simulation using Cadence, Ansys, ADS, or similar tools; power integrity simulation with Ansys or Cadence.
• Experience with VNA, TDR, real-time and sub-sampling oscilloscopes, PCB fabrication constraints, PCI-SIG, and IEEE 802.3 electrical standards.
