Technical Purchasing Manager

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX

What you will do

• Own the full purchasing lifecycle from initial request through delivery and payment.
• Source technical components, vehicle-kit hardware, heavy machinery, and construction materials.
• Research and recommend viable substitute components to engineering teams during shortages.
• Manage vendor relationships, quotes, purchase orders, and domestic/international logistics.
• Track pricing, lead times, and availability to support critical production deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical purchasing, supply chain, procurement, or engineering operations.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, bills of materials, and equipment requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX if not within commuting distance.
• Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends to support critical project deadlines.

Nice to have

• Engineering degree or experience working closely with electrical, mechanical, or robotics teams.
• Experience sourcing PCBs, electronic components, or production parts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and international shipping processes.
