Manufacturing Technician II (Biotechnology)

Location: Onsite at 9161 Industrial Ct, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, USA

Salary: $45,500–$66,000 annual base salary, with potential additional bonus.

What you will do

• Program, operate, and troubleshoot automated equipment used to produce biological assays and reagents.
• Manufacture coated plates, chemical buffers, biological diluents, reagents, assembled kits, custom orders, and prototypes.
• Support process improvement, assay development, and manufacturing process development.
• Complete production documentation, data capture, batch records, equipment maintenance logs, and reports.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and present relevant information to stakeholders.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, inventories, and materials through processing, aliquoting, vialing, and labeling.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least two years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong scientific fundamentals and analytical skills.
• Ability to learn and follow laboratory techniques, safety precautions, pipetting, protein determination, and balance operation procedures.
• Ability to follow personal protective equipment and laboratory safety requirements; occasional handling of BSL-2 reagents may be required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is validated through E-Verify.
• Willingness to work onsite in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with MRP/ERP and JDE systems.
• Experience with cGMP and/or ISO certification.
• Experience with high-throughput screening, immunoassay or reagent manufacturing, reagent stability testing, or in-vitro diagnostic instrumentation and devices.
