Solution Architect (Army)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; willingness to travel 10–15% for customer engagements, including SCIFs.

Base salary: $150,000–$275,000 USD per year, plus potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design integrated hirify.global solution architectures for U.S. Army modernization initiatives across business, logistics, readiness, acquisition, and enterprise information environments.
• Advise federal customers on hirify.global hosting, including private cloud, on-premises infrastructure, and government cloud integrations.
• Connect mission processes, legacy systems, enterprise data, operational workflows, process automation, case management, and Data Fabric capabilities.
• Support configuration, testing, deployment, and operations using agile delivery methodologies and hirify.global best practices.
• Guide development practices, program governance, delivery automation, version control, configuration management, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation.
• Lead technical solutioning for Army-focused sales cycles, captures, proposals, whitepapers, customer presentations, and delivery roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years advising customers on government cloud platform design and implementation, plus at least 10 years of multi-tier application design and architecture.
• Experience architecting secure federal cloud environments using AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, including enterprise environments such as C2S, JWICS, or GovCloud.
• Experience authoring federal proposals and whitepapers and managing federal programs and projects using agile frameworks including Scrum and SAFe.
• Experience with Army C5ISR or related command, control, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission systems, plus familiarity with Army enterprise systems such as ECMA, GCSS-Army, GFEBS, LMP, and ACWS.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a US government public trust and/or DoD clearance is required; TS/SCI with CI Poly is strongly preferred. Certified Scrum Master or another agile certification is required.

Nice to have

• Experience accelerating IT solutions under the federal Risk Management Framework.
• Experience designing DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure automation using tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Cucumber, JMeter, or FitNesse.
• AWS, Google, or Azure certification.
• Project Management Professional certification.
