Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Irvine, California, United States. Domestic and international travel of up to 15% is required. Certain work may involve ITAR/EAR-controlled technologies and may require U.S. person status.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, validate, release, and sustain electronic hardware for new and existing products.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++.
• Perform board bring-up, hardware verification, laboratory debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Create schematics, select components, and support PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams to deliver reliable and manufacturable products.
• Participate in customer-facing technical discussions, workshops, product reviews, and escalation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related electronics engineering experience, or 3 years with a master's degree.
• Strong experience in digital and mixed-signal circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, and debugging.
• Experience with PCB development, board bring-up, hardware validation, and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Embedded firmware development for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++.
• Python or another scripting language for engineering automation, data analysis, or test development.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium Designer and PCB design tools.
• Experience with ARM, STM32, PIC, AVR, MSP430, or similar microcontroller platforms.
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet interfaces.
• Experience with automated test systems, engineering software, or laboratory data analysis.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools, modern software workflows, or FPGA technologies.
