Technical Program Manager, Atlas Data Operations (AI/Robotics)

Location: Waltham Office, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead Annotation Leads and Annotation QA Leads through prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and day-to-day direction.
• Manage third-party annotation vendors, including task allocation, performance accountability, and dual-source relationships.
• Own end-to-end data quality standards, QA methodologies, and operational metrics such as accuracy, consistency, rework rates, and guideline adherence.
• Resolve edge cases and labeling ambiguities as the primary escalation point for annotation quality issues.
• Create SOPs and technical documentation, forecast annotation needs, and improve tools, workflows, and guidelines with Atlas engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, data science, or cognitive science preferred.
• Experience managing teams in data annotation, data quality, or machine learning data pipeline environments preferred.
• Experience managing business or contractual relationships with third-party annotation, labeling, or BPO service providers strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with machine learning data pipelines preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills required.
• Regular onsite work at the Waltham office is required, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
