Senior Director I, AP Art History and History-Social Science Generalist, Curriculum and Assessment

Location: Remote - USA. Candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office. Occasional business travel is required, including 6–8 trips per year and up to two additional weeks for AP Reading. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $112,000–$165,000 per year, adjusted based on location, experience, qualifications, and market data.

What you will do

• Lead assessment development and final approval for AP Art History and History-Social Science exams across multiple course titles.
• Author, revise, review, and manage formative and summative assessment content, scoring materials, test forms, and related publications.
• Lead Test Development Committee meetings, train committee members, and resolve post-meeting content revisions.
• Plan and manage the annual AP Reading, including scoring workflows, reader reliability, and post-Reading activities.
• Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and cut scores in collaboration with psychometricians and AP colleagues.
• Refine course frameworks and collaborate on new instructional products addressing teacher and student needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Art History or a directly related discipline; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in Art History and History-Social Science with at least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work.
• Strong oral and written communication, technical proficiency, organization, planning, proofreading, and project scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, implement processes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to subject-matter experts and course teams.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States and able to travel as required.
