Program Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid at the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, MD, with up to 3 telework days per week. Remote work may be authorized by the Government on an exception basis; occasional travel may be required. Active SECRET security clearance is required.

Salary: $181,000–$263,000 annually.

Government IT services contractor supporting Department of Defense customers and Air National Guard data and AI modernization initiatives.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day contract performance, staffing, schedules, deliverables, and customer coordination.
• Coordinate with the COR, Government stakeholders, and contractor Technical Lead to resolve performance issues and maintain work within contract scope.
• Maintain workforce continuity across data engineering, BI, application development, AI integration, technical support, and training.
• Oversee quality-control activities and implementation of the Quality Control Plan.
• Monitor service levels for pipelines, applications, response times, defect remediation, training, and recurring reporting.
• Track meetings, action items, risks, dependencies, staffing concerns, security documentation, and contract deliverables through closure.

Requirements

• Experience managing complex DoD, Federal, or similarly regulated IT and data programs with multiple technical workstreams and measurable service-level requirements.
• Experience managing technical teams supporting data engineering, analytics/BI, software applications, cloud environments, or AI-enabled capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of program management practices covering schedules, risks, issues, quality, deliverables, and stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate with Government program leadership, contracting personnel, technical stakeholders, and contractor staff.
• Ability to maintain staffing continuity and address performance or resource gaps without disrupting mission operations.
• Active SECRET security clearance and compliance with applicable DoD/DAF security, cybersecurity-awareness, CUI, OPSEC, and access-training requirements.

Nice to have

• PMP or comparable program/project management certification.
• Experience supporting the Air National Guard, Department of the Air Force, or DoD data and AI modernization programs.
