Junior Systems Administrator (IT Infrastructure)

Location: Los Angeles, onsite. The role requires onsite support for engineering and manufacturing teams and may require long hours or weekends during critical milestones, outages, hardware moves, onboarding surges, audits, or facility needs.

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Provision and manage user accounts, endpoints, groups, licenses, access controls, and enterprise systems.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Deploy, maintain, patch, troubleshoot, and retire Windows and macOS endpoints, with support for Linux engineering systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, WiFi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, switching, and related network infrastructure.
• Support collaboration tools, conference rooms, internal applications, endpoint protection, certificates, encryption, monitoring, ticketing, and remote-management platforms.
• Document procedures and access decisions, maintain runbooks, and assist with compliance reporting, evidence collection, access reviews, and audits.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, endpoint administration, or equivalent technical experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, Defender, device enrollment, user lifecycle management, and access controls.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS endpoints, workstations, peripherals, collaboration tools, identity issues, network connectivity, and business applications.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, VPN, WiFi, switching, and basic firewall concepts.
• PowerShell or comparable scripting and automation experience, together with command-line diagnostic skills.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCC High, defense, government-contracting, export-controlled, or other compliance-driven IT environments.
• Experience with Linux, Azure or AWS virtualization, cloud-hosted infrastructure, Ubiquiti/UniFi, wireless deployments, NAC, port security, encryption, keys, and certificates.
• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities, laboratories, engineering teams, or mixed office and shop-floor environments.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365/Endpoint Administrator, Azure, or equivalent certifications.
