Controller (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Venice, California, United States

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Manage billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis.
• Maintain documented accounting policies, procedures, systems, and operations.
• Oversee payments, debt, bank loans, collections, and other significant financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and organize statements for review.
• Advise management and the CFO on capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, costs, benchmarks, and financial decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and train accounting staff across company entities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an accounting emphasis, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience, including previous controller or assistant controller experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control, accounting standards, and GAAP.
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping practices, tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Experience with accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and software system implementation.
• Excellent computer, analytical, written, verbal communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
