Location: New York City, United States; on-site

Salary: $185,000–$225,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and own the accounting and financial operations function from the ground up.
• Oversee core accounting activities across the business.
• Lead monthly and annual close processes, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial statement tie-outs.
• Drive audit readiness and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Design and implement internal controls, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Partner with leadership on fundraising, diligence, and financial storytelling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in high-growth startups or technology companies.
• Deep accounting expertise and a strong command of current US GAAP standards.
• Experience building and scaling financial operations in a high-growth or 0→1 environment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, attention to detail, operational judgment, and ownership.

• Experience with AI-native or automation-forward ERP systems and broader financial tooling.
