Senior Software Engineer (Python/React)

What you will do

• Design and implement highly available backend services and REST APIs for complex procurement workflows across distributed systems.
• Build resilient service designs, data models, asynchronous task-processing pipelines, and carrier-notification workflows for high-volume transactions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and scalability through profiling, observability, load testing, caching, database optimization, and service orchestration.
• Implement security, data protection, fault-tolerance, and graceful-degradation patterns for critical procurement operations.
• Build, test, and ship performant, accessible web experiences while contributing to scalable frontend architecture.
• Own features from specification through rollout, collaborate with product managers and designers, review code, reduce technical debt, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful ownership of production systems.
• Strong Python backend experience in AWS cloud environments, including Flask, Celery, and PyTest or similar tools.
• Solid PostgreSQL skills covering schema design, indexing, and query performance.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong frontend experience with React or another modern framework, plus JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, UX/UI, and accessibility fundamentals.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining clear intent, test coverage, safe changes, code quality, and observability; strong written communication and asynchronous collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Redux, re-select, redux-saga, Storybook, Jest, Testing Library, or TestCafe.
• ElasticSearch, CloudWatch, Datadog, Docker, or Terraform.
• Experience shipping B2B SaaS products in logistics, procurement, or marketplace domains.
