TL;DR

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $124K–$165K base annually, plus equity

hirify.global is a fast-growing aerospace startup that manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-focused hardware.

What you will do

  • Develop manufacturing plans and strategies for aerospace components and spacecraft systems with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
  • Design and optimize assembly and integration procedures, work instructions, tools, and fixtures.
  • Lead the cut-in and ramp-up of new products and transition spacecraft products from development into production.
  • Review designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to improve production efficiency and ease of assembly.
  • Implement inspection criteria, test plans, non-conformance resolution, and corrective actions to maintain quality and production schedules.
  • Provide technical support to production personnel, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • U.S. Persons status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and integration, preferably in a high-production-rate environment.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience developing manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, work instructions, and using CAD/CAM, PLM, or ERP systems.
  • Experience planning or executing electrical and functional testing of components or complete spacecraft, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of quality control methods, inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and AS9100 or similar quality systems.
  • Programming experience with Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
  • Experience with vibration, thermal, or pneumatic environmental testing.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystem interactions and cross-functional design tradeoffs.
