Company

hirify.global is a startup defense technology company founded in 2023 that develops next-generation autonomous and decentralized defense platforms for the United States and its allies.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain a reliability program covering hardware, electrical systems, firmware-enabled systems, production processes, and field feedback.
  • Apply reliability block diagrams and FMECA to identify single-point failures, cascading effects, and high-risk dependencies across UAS architectures.
  • Recommend component, subsystem, environmental, screening, qualification, and accelerated-life tests based on failure hypotheses and mission risk.
  • Lead root cause investigations using teardowns, test data, manufacturing records, and field evidence.
  • Establish failure-reporting and corrective-action workflows that drive design, test, and production changes.
  • Partner with design, test, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and field operations to close reliability gaps and communicate residual risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability, testing, failure analysis, or hardware systems engineering for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with reliability block diagrams, FMEA/FMECA, and root cause failure analysis that led to design, test, or production changes.
  • Ability to work with incomplete or messy data and convert findings into clear engineering actions.
  • Cross-functional experience with design, test, manufacturing, quality, or field operations teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to receive technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, UAS, robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive hardware.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1629, MIL-HDBK-217, ARP4761, or similar reliability standards.
  • Experience with FRACAS, field failure tracking, or closed-loop corrective-action systems.
  • Startup or growth-stage company experience building reliability processes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on work with hardware, test setups, manufacturing, and field failure evidence in a rapidly prototyping environment.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan and paid time off.
  • Equity or stock-option participation and performance-based incentives.
  • Funding for continuing education, training, and professional development.
