Principal Product Manager (Smart Cable Modules)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; in-person presence required with regular customer travel.

Salary: $158,400–$220,000 per year, depending on experience, level, and business need. The role may also include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define product requirements, prioritize features and fixes, and develop the roadmap for Smart Cable Modules.
• Translate market trends and customer insights into differentiated high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity products.
• Act as the primary technical product interface for hyperscalers, AI platform providers, and lighthouse customers.
• Secure and support design wins throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional development with engineering from ideation through launch and coordinate priorities across the organization.
• Partner with product marketing on go-to-market planning, sales enablement, competitive analysis, and positioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, applications engineering, or technical product roles in the semiconductor industry.
• Deep understanding of PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, and system architectures used in cloud and AI infrastructure.
• Track record of defining and launching successful semiconductor products.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience working with hyperscalers or large cloud infrastructure providers.
• Background in cable modules, retimers, or high-speed connectivity products.
• Experience taking products from concept through high-volume production.
• Experience speaking Mandarin.
