System Reliability Test Engineer (Robotics)

Location: USA Remote & Travel; remote, field-based position with travel required up to 75% of the time. Approximately 75% of the work is performed on construction sites.

Salary: $71,000–$97,900 base annual salary, plus medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

• Inspect automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic vehicles, adapter cells, vertical lifts, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, replace, and modify mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and robotic-arm components.
• Run basic PLC troubleshooting, SQL queries, and test plans using TestRail, Jira, SharePoint, or similar tools.
• Communicate schedule-impacting problems, corrective actions, and estimated maintenance times to relevant teams.
• Support commissioning, testing, operations, customer-site deployments, and team-member onboarding.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow 5S, OSHA, lockout/tagout, fall-protection, PPE, and customer safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience maintaining mechanical systems, with electromechanical experience highly preferred.
• Associate degree, certification, or equivalent experience in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Basic Excel and PowerPoint skills, including data imports, charts, pivot tables, and filters.
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP addresses, MAC addresses, ping, and SSH.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, maintenance manuals, and user manuals and perform advanced troubleshooting independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client and customer locations are required. Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet, in restrictive areas, lift or move up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in temperatures from 32°F to 105°F is also required.
