Automation Engineer IT and Business Systems

Location: Avon, Ohio, United States; hybrid work week with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote; must be commutable to the Avon location. Travel to hirify.global locations may be required.

Salary: $81,000–$120,000 per year base salary, with potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain workflow, RPA, integration, collaboration, dashboard, and AI/ML-enabled automation solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into reliable, secure, maintainable solution architectures.
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that convert raw data into actionable insights.
• Test solutions across unit, integration, system, and user acceptance stages, then coordinate deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and data integrity checks; provide Tier 3 support and resolve complex integration and automation issues.
• Document solutions, train end users, mentor peers, and identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes across IT and business functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience working as an automation or integration engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate, including workflow and preferably RPA, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI.
• Experience with SQL Server or cloud-native databases, SQL, PowerShell, Python, system and application integration frameworks, and IT process automation.
• Experience delivering solutions through requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support; working with end users and technical teams; and using Agile/Scrum practices.
• Experience applying UI/UX, cybersecurity, and architecture standards, including AI/ML tools to enhance automation or decision-making.

Nice to have

• Networking, operating systems, server infrastructure, Azure, AWS, UiPath, or other RPA tools.
• BPMN process modeling, ITIL, ERP or core business systems experience.
• Manufacturing environments or Lean principles.
