Sales Specialist (Animal Nutrition)

Location: Virtual/remote role located in the Texas Hill Country, United States. Daily travel within the territory is approximately 90%; overnight travel is approximately 10–15%.

Base salary: $72,000–$88,000 annually, plus a target bonus of $20,000. Compensation is a mix of base salary and commission.

What you will do

• Represent Purina Animal Nutrition products to dealers and co-ops across the assigned market.
• Build customer relationships, expand distribution, and grow product share at the dealer and farm-gate levels.
• Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities.
• Manage accounts, territories, customer needs, recommendations, and satisfaction.
• Use Salesforce, Power BI, and sales data to track activities and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer operations, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• 2–4 years of relevant sales or related experience.
• Understanding of animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, organization, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, analyze sales and customer information, and build positive relationships.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory, with approximately 10–15% overnight travel.
