MariaDB/MySQL DBA (Travel Technology): Deploying and operating highly available MariaDB database clusters supporting multi-terabyte workloads for global travel systems with an accent on performance, resiliency, security, and disaster recovery. Focus on managing multi-site clusters, automating database operations, investigating incidents in 24x7 conditions, and improving the MariaDB ecosystem.
Location: Hybrid work at the Bogota office, Colombia

What you will do
- Plan and deploy MariaDB/MySQL database clusters supporting multi-terabyte workloads.
- Design and operate high-availability and fault-tolerant environments, including multi-site configurations.
- Maintain storage, archiving, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor and optimize database performance while maintaining patching and security standards, including PCI DSS compliance and vulnerability remediation.
- Investigate operational incidents, debug problems, and provide recovery solutions in 24x7 operating conditions while contributing to the on-call roster.
- Document database platforms and procedures and improve MariaDB automation in collaboration with software reliability, system engineering, database development, and R&D teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience managing MySQL or MariaDB in a critical, highly available enterprise environment.
- Professional experience with Linux platforms.
- Experience with database automation using Ansible, Python, shell, or similar tools.
- Ability to work in 24x7 operational conditions and participate in an on-call roster.
- CV must be submitted in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later.
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c or later.
