Senior Associate, Strategy (Climate Tech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Portland, Oregon; significant time in Portland is required, and relocation assistance is provided.

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Support the EVP of Strategy across fundraising, investor relations, communications, and commercial partnerships.
• Manage calendar, travel, meeting logistics, board preparation, and related administrative coordination.
• Prepare briefing documents, talking points, presentations, one-pagers, and pitch materials.
• Build and update financial models covering unit economics, scenarios, and financing structures, and create data visualizations.
• Draft investor updates, partner correspondence, follow-up emails, internal memos, and communications content.
• Maintain the CRM and support investor, partner, media, conference, and event engagement, increasingly representing the company externally.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a strategic or operational role at a high-growth startup.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree is a strong plus.
• Expert-level Excel and Google Sheets skills, with investor-grade presentation skills in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Figma.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for investors, partners, and the press.
• Strong analytical judgment, extreme ownership, discretion, reliability under pressure, and comfort with ambiguity and tight deadlines.
• Must be willing to spend significant time in Portland; nonstandard hours, including evenings and weekends, and occasional short-notice travel are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with technology-oriented or engineering-driven companies.
• Familiarity with energy, AI infrastructure, data center, or climate technology markets.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS.
