Senior Manager, Growth & Strategy (Energy)

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States; 5 days in office. Standard hours are 8:00am–5:00pm ET, Monday–Friday. Travel is approximately 10% as needed for project assignments.

Salary: $180,000–$205,000 annually, plus a variable annual short-term incentive.

What you will do

• Lead market and competitive analysis to identify new monetizable business capabilities and services.
• Define monetization, go-to-market, and risk strategies with finance, business development, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Develop end-to-end business cases and financial models for new capabilities and capital projects, covering costs, schedules, financing, risks, and returns.
• Develop project-level strategies for major customer and deployment projects, including objectives, priorities, dependencies, risks, and execution pathways.
• Translate strategic priorities into operating plans, decision frameworks, workstreams, and measurable actions.
• Improve modeling processes, tools, templates, data architecture, governance, and operating models while mentoring associates and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of experience in corporate or project strategy, infrastructure, energy or industrial finance, management consulting, or similar business roles.
• Experience building and owning end-to-end financial models for major infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects and presenting them to executive leadership.
• Experience working across technical and commercial project functions with engineering, commercial, and finance teams.
• Strong Excel modeling, sensitivity analysis, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members in financial modeling and strategic planning.
