Project Manager (Hardware Development)

What you will do

• Manage multiple parallel hardware prototyping and manufacturing preparation projects from design through build, validation, and production readiness.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies for mechanical, electrical, and hardware-focused initiatives.
• Lead engineers, technicians, and external partners while coordinating communication, goals, and milestones.
• Identify and mitigate risks in rapid prototyping and manufacturing readiness, including contingency planning and process improvement.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, procurement teams, and vendors to manage materials, components, and services for prototype builds and pilot runs.
• Manage BOM processes and oversee execution in manufacturing and lab facilities while maintaining safety and quality protocols.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing technical projects, preferably in energy, aerospace, automotive, or complex industrial hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Direct experience in rapid prototyping, low-volume manufacturing, or pilot production.
• Experience managing supply chain and logistics activities, including vendor management, procurement scheduling, and materials flow.
• Experience with project management tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organization, communication, influencing, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• PMP certification.
