Group Product Manager, Control Plane (Kubernetes)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $225,000–$330,000 per year in California, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Kubernetes-native control plane managing compute, storage, and networking lifecycles.
• Lead and develop a team of product managers focused on control plane capabilities.
• Partner with platform engineering to translate customer and operational needs into infrastructure features.
• Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, operational reliability, and platform scalability.
• Work with bring-up and operations teams to identify and resolve operational pain points.
• Define success metrics, track post-launch outcomes, and communicate roadmap decisions to engineering, leadership, and customers.

Requirements

• Significant product management experience in infrastructure, platforms, or developer tools.
• Experience managing product managers or leading a product team.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure control plane concepts.
• Strong technical fluency and close collaboration experience with engineering teams.
• Track record of shipping infrastructure products that scale.
• Excellent prioritization and stakeholder communication skills.
