Principal Product Manager for Agentic Systems (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $220,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for agentic and automated decision systems.
• Translate financial and operational signals into recommendations and automated actions.
• Define when systems observe, recommend, require human approval, or act autonomously.
• Lead end-to-end product development for signal ingestion, normalization, prioritization, decision logic, explanations, confidence signals, and guardrails.
• Partner with engineering and design on architectural trade-offs, system behavior, usability, scalability, and trust.
• Validate automation with enterprise customers and support pre-sales, post-sales, and internal enablement.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience as a Product Manager building technically complex B2B SaaS products.
• Strong product craft, including detailed PRDs, specifications, decision documents, and testable solution definitions.
• Experience with automation, orchestration, decision systems, infrastructure or DevOps tooling, observability, operational analytics, or security workflows.
• Experience designing workflows where trust, correctness, false positives, failure modes, and rollback matter.
• Ability to work closely with engineering on system behavior, edge cases, architecture, latency, and scalability.
• Ability to own a complex product area end-to-end and influence cross-functional teams without authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure billing and usage data, data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, IaC, or CI/CD.
• Background in data engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering.
• Experience with telemetry, logs, metrics, enterprise customers, or regulated environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products requiring explainability and control.
