Software Developer - Market Data Integration

Location: London or Montreal

Market Data provides live market data connectivity for trading and historical market data services for research across the firm.

What you will do

• Manage strategic market data initiatives from technical scoping through completion.
• Coordinate with developers, internal stakeholders, external vendors, exchanges, and data providers.
• Write and review exchange specifications, migration plans, and production runbooks.
• Own migrations from legacy platforms and identify and resolve delivery blockers.
• Support users as a subject matter expert on market data products.
• Maintain Jira kanban boards and improve team efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• At least 2 years of project management experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience with market data vendors such as Reuters or Bloomberg.
• Proficiency in C++ or Python.
• Proficiency with Linux OS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Financial knowledge across various asset classes.
