Field Service Support Specialist (Electrical Manufacturing)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Work is performed primarily in an office setting, with occasional travel of up to 25% to manufacturing facilities and regional field offices.

What you will do

• Provide first-line 24/7 emergency phone support for Field Service operations.
• Support automation, networking, commissioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Field Service Engineers and Technicians.
• Investigate critical technical problems and coordinate resolution with subject matter experts, manufacturing plants, engineering, production, service, and procurement teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, Methods of Procedure, Sequences of Operation, reports, and training materials.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and support scheduling and operational coordination.
• Track service performance data, inventory, shipping and receiving, parts, tools, and test equipment, including asset-tracking system maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills involving switchgear, PLC controls, generator controls, networking equipment, and field service operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, urgent support needs, and time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-facing presence.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, work at a computer, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
