Field Service Technician I - MSP (Engineering): Installs, repairs, and maintains Trace and X-Ray security detection equipment in the field with an accent on troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems, customer training, and documentation. Location: Onsite with daily travel in and around the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, United States, including the airport. Must pass federal background investigation and TSA vetting for Sensitive Security Information access.

Salary: $63,800 - $87,560 per year

What you will do

• Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field while providing customer training.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and submit paperwork timely.
• Manage parts ordering, installation, returns, and cycle time.
• Review logs, prepare customer reports, and assess product performance for improvements.
• Provide technical support, participate in site surveys, pilot programs, and service sales opportunities.
• Ensure tools are maintained, comply with safety policies, and control costs.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree, Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical), Military Training, or 1-3 years equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical field service.
• 1-3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic systems.
• Computer literacy with MS Office; aptitude for specialized software.
• Excellent communication, customer focus, teamwork; willing to travel at short notice.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs, push/pull 200 lbs, maneuver heavy equipment; work in extreme environments.
• U.S. federal background investigation required; may need Personal Security Clearance.
