Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Salary: $88,425–$147,375 USD per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, coordinate, and implement corporate environmental, health, and safety policies and sustainability programs.
• Provide technical support for EHS metrics, objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational projects.
• Engage with OSHA, DEP, EPA, insurance carriers, and local emergency agencies on permits and inspections.
• Chair the monthly Safety Committee and coordinate completion of action items.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, corrective action plans, safety inspections, and hazardous-waste vendor oversight.
• Train employees and work with supervisors and management to implement the EHS program and manage the site EHS budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an environmental field or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• 8+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety.
• Knowledge of health and safety functions in a manufacturing environment and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and address hazards involving mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
• Applicants generally must reside in a state where MKS is registered to do business.
