Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, Professional II

Location: Must work Monday–Friday from Flowery Branch, Georgia, or Bentonville, Arkansas; up to 25% travel, including some international travel.

Salary: $68,400–$102,600 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 5% of base pay.

What you will do

• Coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities with facilities representatives, site leaders, plant managers, regional EHS staff, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Measure and report EHS performance, resource efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous waste, energy consumption, and safety data.
• Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, hazard complaints, and deficient environmental or operational conditions.
• Recommend improvements to processes, procedures, equipment, and workplace conditions, and support corrective actions.
• Deliver site EHS training and monitor training compliance.
• Support the maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and applicable EHS requirements.
• Ability to analyze moderately complex EHS situations and data, solve problems, balance competing priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct presentations and gain cooperation from others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• OSHA and ISO 14001/45001 certifications.
