TL;DR

Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the EH&S management system.
  • Perform and document hazard analyses for R&D activities and pilot-scale operations.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams on facility design, equipment installation, and commissioning.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, compliance assessments, and corrective action programs.
  • Develop and deliver EH&S training, Job Hazard Analyses, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and other safety documentation.
  • Manage safety equipment, PPE, hazardous waste handling, and regulatory compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health Physics, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or EH&S, preferably in nuclear, chemical, manufacturing, or R&D environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, 10 CFR 20, 10 CFR 70, and DOE/NRC EH&S requirements.
  • Experience with hazard assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong technical writing, procedure development, compliance reporting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHP, CHMM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with radiological operations, nuclear facilities, or pilot-scale process development.
  • Experience in hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene monitoring, or emergency preparedness.
