Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Location: Canada — Remote

Salary: CA$87,149–CA$140,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the integrity of the full P&L and balance sheet and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Research, document, and advise on accounting treatments under IFRS 15, IAS 2, and IAS 16.
• Lead external audit relationships, build audit-ready documentation and controls, and address structural risks.
• Manage deferred revenue, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and key balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close activities, journal entries, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Improve NetSuite, Salesforce, and related financial systems through automation and scalable process design.

Requirements

• CPA designation and 6+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or high-growth environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15, IAS 2, and IAS 16.
• Experience owning external audit relationships and designing scalable close and reconciliation processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with strong analytical judgment and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or guiding less senior team members and influencing FP&A, Operations, and leadership stakeholders.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada; a criminal records check is required upon hire.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup or scaling SaaS and hardware environment.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM systems.
• Experience with 3PL, consignment, or dropship inventory models.
• Experience introducing AI-enabled tools or workflows into finance or accounting.
• Experience building governance frameworks, automation, or standardized processes.
