Specialist, Manufacturing Performance (Manufacturing)

Location: Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia

What you will do

• Enforce manufacturing standards, SOP adherence, standard work, and operational discipline across all shifts.
• Conduct daily Gemba walks, identify performance and compliance gaps, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, waste elimination, OEE improvement, and throughput optimization initiatives.
• Analyze line balance, bottlenecks, production data, and manual workflows to improve output and transition processes into standardized, system-driven workflows.
• Support capacity expansion, production ramp-up, performance stabilization, digital transformation, and adoption of new manufacturing technologies.
• Coach supervisors and operators, deliver on-the-line training, and balance short-term production needs with long-term improvement deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on engineering experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, operational excellence, capacity expansion, production ramp-up, or performance stabilization.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, particularly plastic injection molding or assembly.
• Hands-on knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, standard work, and production performance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and proficiency with SAP ERP, including BOMs, routings, and documentation.
