Industrial Engineer (IE), Manufacturing

What you will do

• Lead time and motion studies, establish standard times, and reduce cycle times across production lines.
• Perform line balancing, manpower optimization, capacity planning, and resource analysis to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Develop capacity models for production planning, capital expenditure justification, and long-term site roadmaps.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, yield-loss drivers, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects from concept through validated results.
• Optimize factory layouts, material flow, workstation ergonomics, and manufacturing processes while supporting NPI and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of progressive industrial engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading productivity improvement or cost-reduction projects.
• Strong expertise in time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data analysis and visualization skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present to management.

Nice to have

• Experience in HDD, semiconductor, electronics, or precision manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• AutoCAD or factory layout design software proficiency.
• Experience with FlexSim, Arena, Minitab, JMP, ERP/MES systems, or manufacturing data platforms.
• Knowledge of automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives, or experience leading multicultural cross-functional teams.
