Supervisor, Manufacturing

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Lead the manufacturing function within budget, output, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
• Manage, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Establish standard policies, procedures, and best-practice working methods.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and modern manufacturing initiatives.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental, 6S, and worker wellbeing standards.
• Support production planning and execution across daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in management or engineering.
• Knowledge of 6S, safety, ESD, and production environments.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and in Class 1K/C100K cleanrooms.
• Ability to support operations during off days or rest days when required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cost-saving skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, MES, and standard engineering methods.

Nice to have

• At least three consecutive recent years leading automation framework development and functional automation.
• Lean Six Sigma, Lean, project management, or engineering-related certifications.
• IR 4.0/5.0 and automation project experience.
