Heavy Equipment Operator

What you will do

• Safely operate loaders, bulldozers, excavators, graders, water trucks, and blasthole drill rigs across pits, dumps, haul roads, and process areas.
• Maximize productivity while minimizing downtime, fuel consumption, and equipment wear.
• Complete and document pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Perform ground support activities, including shoveling, spotting, barricading, and general labor.
• Communicate equipment issues to maintenance personnel, support troubleshooting, and perform basic servicing.
• Provide shift handover notes and participate in operator training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to learn and follow federal, state, local, MSHA, OSHA, environmental, and company requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, situational awareness, and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to perform manual labor and train on additional equipment and roles.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain, climb ladders and structures, and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and use required PPE while exposed to dust, fumes, diesel, solvents, sulfuric acid, and other hazardous materials.
