EHS Manager (Construction)

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX

What you will do

• Build and own the EHS program from the ground up for construction and autonomous equipment deployment sites.
• Implement, enforce, and audit site-level construction and contractor safety management programs.
• Conduct regular hazard identification inspections and maintain documented safety observations.
• Collaborate with leadership to perform job hazard assessments and establish PPE and safety policy requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for high-risk activities including excavation, grading, and welding.
• Investigate incidents and injuries to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety oversight within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment, excavation, and welding safety.
• Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX if not within commuting distance.
• Must be willing to work extended hours or weekends to support operational deadlines.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or occupational health and safety.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification.
• Competent Person — Excavation certification.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
