TL;DR
Equipment Operator - Well Abandonment (Heavy Equipment/Oil & Gas): Operating excavators, backhoes, loaders, and specialized equipment for well excavation, abandonment, demolition, and site restoration with an accent on field safety, regulatory compliance, and incident-free execution. Focus on wellhead cut-and-cap support, UHP water jet systems, concrete demolition, grading, equipment inspections, and coordination with field crews and customers.
Location: Field-based outdoor work in the United States service area
Salary: $14.90–$34.62 per hour

What you will do
- Operate excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other heavy equipment for well site preparation and restoration.
- Excavate and expose wellheads, clear sites, and support wellhead cut-and-cap operations involving UHP water jet systems.
- Perform concrete demolition, flowline removal, cleanup, backfilling, grading, and contouring.
- Support vacuum truck, hydroblasting, and fluid handling operations.
- Complete equipment inspections, routine maintenance, documentation, logs, and reports.
- Coordinate with crews, supervisors, and customers to execute projects safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, loaders, or similar heavy equipment in construction, oilfield, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of safe excavation practices and underground utility awareness.
- Valid driver's license; CDL Class A or B is preferred.
- Ability to pass company driving requirements and perform basic equipment inspections and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors, perform physically demanding tasks, and follow safety procedures including LOTO, zero-energy verification, and exclusion zones.
- Ability to understand and follow safety instructions in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with well abandonment, construction, demolition, or industrial services.
- Familiarity with UHP water blasting or cutting equipment.
- Military experience or transitioning military background.
