SET Lead, Chassis/Brake/Steering Team Lead

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and up to 10% travel. A valid driver's license and passport are required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering alignment across production, quality, purchasing, finance, product management, CAE, sales, marketing, and R&D teams.
• Coordinate engineering topics covering chassis, suspension, wheels, braking, and steering.
• Triage issues, prioritize risks, and present DRE topics to cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Organize engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders from a program management perspective.
• Review budgets, document forecasts, identify timing issues, and escalate risks.
• Facilitate decision matrices for competing technical scenarios and track progress toward resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Program Management, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in chassis, suspension, or wheel guidance within an OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
• Experience developing components from concept through production release.
• Prior program management experience.
• Experience with supplier management, design reviews, PPAP processes, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
