What you will do

• Own the Jira platform strategy, roadmap, governance standards, configuration controls, and operational health.
• Oversee Jira administration across projects, workflows, screens, fields, permissions, notifications, automation, and system settings.
• Partner with IT, PMO, Engineering, Service Management, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Jira solutions.
• Optimize workflows, automate processes, improve data quality, and standardize Jira usage across the organization.
• Develop dashboards, reports, filters, KPIs, and operational metrics for project delivery, service levels, adoption, and leadership visibility.
• Lead Jira administrators and support resources while coordinating platform upgrades, migrations, integrations, incidents, and risk remediation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of hands-on Jira administration and configuration experience in a business or enterprise environment.
• At least 3 years leading Jira initiatives, platform governance, or people and project management responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, screens, custom fields, automation, Jira Cloud, and/or Jira Data Center.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira Service Management, Atlassian Marketplace apps, APIs or third-party integrations, reporting, and operational metrics.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, ITIL, or service management frameworks, plus experience with migrations, consolidations, or enterprise scaling.

Nice to have

• Atlassian or other relevant platform certifications.
