Product/Software Engineer-Backend (GenAI)

Location: Brazil, hybrid

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems.
• Act as the infrastructure subject matter expert for new products and technology additions.
• Design event-driven architectures and build APIs and microservices for real-time processing and analytics.
• Integrate infrastructure components with product features in collaboration with engineering and research teams.
• Improve reliability and scalability through monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, open-source projects, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing or implementing applications and backend software.
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with scalable production-level software and backend infrastructure.
• Programming experience with Python, Node, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, version control, APIs, databases, and container orchestration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Django, Flask, OpenAPI, FastAPI, Spring Boot, or Express.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, REST, GraphQL, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
