Senior VLSI ASIC Logic Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week in an HPE office in Ft. Collins, Colorado; Bloomington, Minnesota; Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; or Frisco, Texas, United States.

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 147,000–279,000 in Colorado or USD 140,000–321,000 in Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead VLSI design and development projects for complex products, solutions, and platforms across design, validation, and testing.
• Review designs and project activities for compliance with VLSI technology standards and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Provide VLSI expertise, architecture guidance, and platform leadership to cross-organization projects and programs.
• Lead internal engineers and outsourced development partners in developing reliable, cost-effective VLSI prototypes and products.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to identifying future technical leaders.
• Drive VLSI innovation and integrate new technologies into design projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
• Expert proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
• Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expert knowledge of designing VLSI components, integrated circuitry, architectures, and algorithms into VLSI solutions.
• Expert knowledge of programming and scripting, hardware description languages, electronic design automation (EDA), and/or FPGA tools, with coursework in VLSI design or VLSI concepts.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills and mastery of English and the local language.
• Subject matter expertise or discipline leadership demonstrated through patents or publications in VLSI or electronic/hardware component designs and tools.
