Senior Engineering Manager (Embedded Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and grow an embedded software development team.
• Lead planning and delivery for Fastlane products on embedded Linux and high-performance compute platforms.
• Provide architectural oversight through system design and code reviews.
• Ensure high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance for vehicle telemetry software.
• Define hardware-in-the-loop testing strategies and resolve integration bottlenecks with Hardware Engineering and QA.
• Improve developer workflows and integrate LLM and agentic tooling while maintaining code quality.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience, including technical leadership and architectural design.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience with direct reports.
• Experience delivering commercial software for mission-critical, internet-connected devices.
• Deep experience with embedded systems, modern C++, inter-process communication, and embedded operating systems including Linux, Android, or QNX.
• Experience with HIL testing and communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, HTTP, and MQTT.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automotive standards such as AUTOSAR Adaptive, UDS, and MISRA.
• Experience in industrial automation, robotics, medical devices, telecommunications, aerospace, or IoT.
