What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for medical products using C and C++.
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, bare-metal systems, and RTOS-based applications.
- Build proof-of-concept solutions for new ideas, early-stage hardware platforms, and technical evaluations.
- Contribute to embedded software architecture, modular design, code reviews, testing, and technical design discussions.
- Investigate software issues and optimize performance, memory usage, reliability, and real-time behavior.
- Create software requirements, designs, development documentation, risk analyses, and traceability records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, embedded systems, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with embedded C and C++.
- Experience with microcontrollers such as STM32 and RTOS platforms such as ThreadX or equivalent, including bare-metal development.
- Experience integrating hardware and developing drivers for UART, SPI, I²C, ADC, PWM, USB, and similar interfaces.
- Experience with unit testing using mocks, integration testing, target-hardware testing, static analysis, secure coding, Git, and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring while remaining hands-on in software development and regulated development processes.
Nice to have
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for embedded software.
- Medical-device software development experience and familiarity with IEC 62304.
- Experience developing Python-based testing, automation, diagnostic, or data-analysis tools for embedded systems.
