What you will do
- Write Linux user-space and kernel code for DMA, memory management, and hardware integration.
- Develop software at the hardware/software boundary for networking chips, ASICs, FPGAs, media adapters, and PCIe bridges.
- Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing and communications protocols, including LLDP, 802.1x, BFD, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
- Update hardware forwarding state and reconcile Linux routing models with switch forwarding state.
- Develop configuration management services with Go and Python using YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC, SSH, and SSL.
- Build fault-tolerant routing agents and automated Python-based test harnesses for embedded Fedora Linux environments.
Requirements
- Graduate-level interest in software product development and software-defined networking.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, React, Redux, or Node.js.
- Knowledge of networking, Linux, embedded systems, algorithms, programming, or software development.
- Ability to work with routing protocols, hardware interfaces, and concurrent software systems.
