TL;DR
Technology Development Engineering Intern (Power GaN) (Semiconductor Process and Test Development): Developing and qualifying differentiated semiconductor technologies for 200mm manufacturing fabs with an accent on advanced process integration, device characterization, and RF applications. Focus on designing and executing experiments, analyzing electrical and performance results, and supporting technology qualification through manufacturing installation.

Location: Essex Junction, Vermont, United States

Salary: $20.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Support technology development and qualification for 200mm semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Work with integration, process, test, and device engineering teams to advance process modules.
  • Develop semiconductor technologies in CMOS, SiGe, and GaN at 130nm, 90nm, and sub-90nm nodes for RF applications.
  • Support experimental design, execution, and analysis of performance, reliability, yield, cost, and defect data.
  • Coordinate with testing, failure analysis, unit process, reliability, manufacturing, and research organizations.
  • Support qualification milestones from initial development through manufacturing installation.

Requirements

  • Currently a junior or graduating senior in an undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Microelectronics, or a related engineering or physical science discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of modern semiconductor device physics and device characterization.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor processing.
  • Fluent English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to follow Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.

Nice to have

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Current Master’s or PhD study in a semiconductor discipline.
  • Knowledge of FET, BJT, LDMOS, and HEMT devices, bulk and SOI structures, and electrical test methods.
  • Experience with CMOS, SiGe, or GaN processing and wafer-level electrical testing, analysis, and characterization.
