Staff Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Salary: $240,000–$280,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services and platform primitives for complex engineering workflows and collaboration at scale.
• Scale the platform from thousands to hundreds of thousands of users while improving performance, reliability, observability, and security.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and internal tooling to support fast and safe releases.
• Collaborate with frontend and AI engineers on APIs, data models, and integration points.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction as the product and customer base grow.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating production systems in a cloud environment such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of systems design, distributed systems, reliability, observability, and security best practices.
• Experience with containerization and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Docker and Terraform.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and make pragmatic trade-offs in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach and willingness to work closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, React, Postgres, managed cloud services, containers, and cloud infrastructure.
