Director, Card Growth & Risk Initiatives (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco or Wilmington office, United States

Salary: USD $190,000–$220,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Lead credit risk strategy, policy design, and implementation for prioritized card growth initiatives.
• Identify new customer segments and growth opportunities, including affinity segments and credit line marketing.
• Evaluate opportunities, design tests, and develop business cases for scalable card growth.
• Test cash flow underwriting use cases and create policies for responsible deployment at scale.
• Develop and improve defenses against intentional credit misuse and synthetic underwriting.
• Partner cross-functionally, track initiative performance, and present recommendations and results to leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in consumer finance, consulting, or another data-driven field.
• Deep experience in consumer lending and credit risk, particularly credit cards.
• Strong independent problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills and business judgment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel; Python is a plus.
• English is required for interaction with staff at hirify.global offices worldwide.
