What you will do

• Oversee portfolio credit risk for retail unsecured lending products including credit cards, personal loans, and overdrafts.
• Create, implement, and validate risk segmentation strategies such as adjudication, exposure management, and financial return optimization.
• Act as the primary regulatory interface on risk issues and requirements for key business segments.
• Represent the business on corporate initiatives, identifying key risks and providing direction in complex situations.
• Perform detailed analysis and deploy credit risk strategies within the bank's established risk appetite.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams beyond risk management to ensure cohesive business operations.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive work experience in credit risk or retail lending.
• Proficiency in relational databases and ETL processes using SQL or SAS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail.
• Proven ability to present recommendations to senior management and maintain productive peer relationships.

Nice to have

• Advanced coding ability in Python.
• Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder, or Angoss Knowledge Seeker.
