What you will do
- Lead engineers and technicians responsible for rocket engine test operations, test stand construction, engine assembly, and maintenance of test infrastructure.
- Mentor technical teams and provide hands-on leadership in a high-pressure testing environment.
- Develop and maintain project and program plans, budgets, and schedules across multiple departments and engineering disciplines.
- Manage external contractors and suppliers.
- Improve test site infrastructure to support multiple engine tests per day.
- Oversee site administration, supply chain, logistics, and team health and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or another technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in propulsion engineering and/or propulsion test leadership.
- Demonstrated experience supporting fast-paced technical projects.
- For work in the United States, eligibility under ITAR requirements is necessary: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required government authorizations.
- Ability to work in an environment involving prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with liquid natural gas or liquid methane rocket propellants.
- Experience testing systems from subcomponents through full flight systems.
- Software development for data acquisition and control systems.
- Working knowledge of complex IT systems used in propulsion testing.
